Changes

12. 12. 2003 - Church of Coniferia

Anguish: The Church of Coniferia was founded all of a sudden. Also, I haven't marked any updates with the Canticle here and probably won't mark them separately either.

14. 1. 2003 - Moving!

Anguish & General: I finally did it, I moved the pages! It only took the best part of a day to fix the html to be serviceable and to update some. Now I'm only missing a huge heap of 'this page is now here' minipages in the from-end, but that'll just have to wait for another day. Whee!

28. 12. 2002 - Cleaning and packing

Anguish: Moved the Canticle Archives over to the new address. This will take some time, since I don't want to throw in sinful HTML on my university homepage space. Sorry about any inconvenience. Oh, and I added the new Canticle issue to the archive.

10. 11. 2002 - Packing up

General: Killed some bothersome links from the index and added a moving notice. I'd rather get a clean start so I still haven't gotten the moving done. HTML Tidy calls when I just find the time and motivation. I'm amazed that the guestbook is suddenly working again though.
Anguish: RPWiki is on a server I don't have any control over anymore, I'm not too optimistic about its survival.

7. 5. 2002 - Canticle 8.0 and Bleys Story

Anguish: Put out two newest Canticles, sorry about the delay.
General: The pages are moving, by the way. If you link to nettilinja.fi or saunalahti.fi, change your link to be http://www.iki.fi/fir/ + whatever. The iki.fi address will remain right even if I'm forced to move again, which I probably will, since the next address will be under my university and I do have some plans of at some point graduating. The start of the new site is up in here, but as said, if you should see fit to have a link there, do it through iki.fi, I'll be forwarding that address there once I'm free to move in properly.

7. 5. 2002 - Canticle 8.0 and Bleys Story

Anguish: Put out the newest Canticle and - woo! - Bleys has finished his Drakhiya story, which is now posted too. Some various small additions/fixes have sneaked past in the meanwhile without being mentioned here.

3. 2. 2002 - Canticle 7.0

Anguish: Put out the newest Canticle and stuffed some songs to a corner.

26.11. 2001 - More Chrome Fiction

Anguish: Two more chapters. (See Chrome's story).

19.10. 2001 - More Chrome Fiction

Anguish: See below, added 2 more chapters to Chrome's story.

12.10. 2001 - Some Ancient Fiction by Chrome

Anguish: Updated the AA Fan Fiction page, added the first two chapters of Chrome's story and went through the character story links.

6.10. 2001 - More, other fiction.

Homepage: Added two stories in English (Draco's tale & Guided Tour) and one, uhm, text (Absurdisminäyte) in Finnish and decided that it would make my front page look too much like I actually had something on that side and hence put all the fiction links on their own page.
Kotisivu: Lisäsin yhden kirjallisen tekeleen ja kaksi englanninkielistä tarinaa, ja lätkäisin koko tarinavalikoimani yhdelle sivulle.

17.9. 2001 - Ancient Fiction

Anguish: Added a page for AA fan fiction. The inspiration came from having read some stories written by Bleys on the Scythe board (no, I don't have Scyther alts, I had to resort to.. nevermind). I just had to take advantage of some people actually knowing of my pages to bring them to public, so I begged a posting permission from him, and here they are!
Updated my own character story page ever so slightly, and removed the link to Zan's Thief's Nest for now - it seems to be dead.

24.7. 2001 - Canticle 6.0 archived

Anguish: Added Canticle 6.0 to the archives, and a Flint link on the index page. I'm suspecting I'll move the index page from "wizsquish" back to "anguish" again once I get the inspiration to do something new with the pages, now that I've come to the conclusion that the pages don't have any game information (I changed a few link names on the front page to look less informative since they're not). If you disagree, feel free to bug me (email at finger, or siruohom and an at-sign and earthling and a dot and net *mumble spam-paranoia*) and I'll yank them. But for now I'll just let it be like it is since I'm lazy and busy doing nothing useful before leaving for a few-week vacation in Finland...

6.6. 2001 - Wizardly preparations

Anguish: Removed the two informative pages, on abilities and distillation. Added a link to Eivind's page adoptery.

2.6. 2001 - Distillation note

Anguish: Added a note I posted on the ranger board about distillation experiments Ragnhild made. This concludes the actual information pages I've planned to make in this life. (I found it utterly frustrating that distillation was nearly useless because I had no idea how much of what was needed for getting this or that.) My next step is to try to figure out what I have to do to these pages in order to be allowed to have them in my finger after I wiz...

14.5. 2001 - Canticle 5.0 out!

Anguish: Updated the Canticle archives by the newest issue, remembered to add a link to the ability guide on the front page and did minor bugfixes.

13.5. 2001 - Added ability listing

Anguish: Added the ability overview. I hope you don't consider it too revealing. ;) Planning to put up a ranger distillation guide before wizzing too.

24.3. 2001 - Added Adinos link

Anguish: Nothing big, added link to Adinos' page. I'm trying to figure out what I mean by the third category of pages (well-worth-the-visit, AA official site info, 'since we all love peeking'), and am closing in on the conclusion that pages of immortals dedicated to AA and having something fun on them belong there, and being in-theme isn't required. In essence, pages I was glad to visit but which were narrowish enough that my ill-selected first title doesn't quite cover it - it's not something I'd keep visiting for being a resource. I hope no one gives too many thoughts on the division, since all in all, I only link to pages I liked visiting anyway. I liked these pages. (The forming of opinion also made me move Dawg's page from the resourceful side to the peeking side.)

10.3. 2001 - Minor changes

Anguish: Added two countertaunts for Scythe (nothing brilliant), and renamed the notice link on the main page.

3.3. 2001 - Ricochet's Eldar page

Anguish: Added a link to Ricochet's Eldar page, and updated Fluiddruid's link.

10.2. 2001 - Role-players' society?

Anguish: Some postings on the Suggestions board made my head tick in a threatening way. I wrote a note, and appended a web page around it too. Now I just wait for reactions.

9.2. 2001 - Link updates

Anguish: Some people had been moving and since Fluiddruid's a wizard these days I decided that no one can complain (Player Page Watchers, that is) if I link to her page. The Yellow Pages are wonderful!

14. 1. 2001 - Canticle browsing

Anguish: O well, the paper's still not out, so I spent some time twisting the Canticle searching into a proper form now that I had my Pythoner available for questioning too so I/we could do it codewise instead of me just writing a bunch every time an issue comes out. I only use the program to update the html file I upload, though. Hmm. I still feel like doing something useful. Horrendous.
Yeah. Added some more personal links - not that they're not worth the visit too, but I figured the first link list is more interesting even if you've never heard of the people (if so, you must have relatively good earmuffs with Llandra's, Jerusulum's and Scarecrazy's case). Moved the pointer to AA's web-newbiehelp to point to a local file and added the rules link I didn't dare add before to point to a local file too (the AA files are /old/, when I'm writing this, and I'm not holding my breath - anymore - for an update). I'm pondering if someone will at some point give me a prize for being very Nonstop (or Smarties) -coloured. It's not that I'm blind, it just started that way and then I noticed I didn't want to stop...

23. 12. 2000 - Link to a Knight site

Anguish: I ran into a very nice-looking site dedicated to the chivalrous guild of the realm, so I just had to link to it. (It's also very text-browser-friendly. =)) In all silence I cleaned up some of my html, but the 'valid HTML' thing doesn't really apply to quite all the pages yet as we speak (I won't add it separately to each page even when I'm done), otherwise I haven't been really updating lately. A new Canticle issue is (hopefully) going to come out soon so that's going to hit the archives. Consider yourselves warned. No other updates are expected for this year.

13. 10. 2000 - AA links

Anguish: Although linking is dangerous and almost always results in dead links (really!), I added links. Not to worry, they're all to AA itself. I went through the entire linked site of AA and possibly even a bit more (I can't remember if the textonly version was linked from the site or from just Fluiddruid's Hut). Things you might not have looked at but would like to are now linked to. I also mailbombarded Piper on dead links and such in there, and a few days later there's been two updates on the pages. Although neither on anything I mentioned, but that's ok I suppose. ;)

11. 7. 2000 - Dwarven Religion

Anguish: Since I wrote an article for the Canticle on dwarven religion, based on the book on the subject in the Tantallon Library (permission asked from Adinos or other high-ranking immortal with a name beginning with an A who I was referred to when wondering who to ask for Trazan Rustbeard's permission to reproduce the book here, and after interpreting from his yes that it would be ok to write an article on it too, I've told Scarecrazy to recheck for me before publishing), I've put the book in here too, as a start for copying the mighty Library in my humble home for all people to view. If you've written something for the Library by your own name, expect to be getting mudmail soonish.

8. 7. 2000 - Characteristic

Anguish: Fixed some grammatical/typical (or 'typoical' ;)) errors in the character story page, as well as some aged, present tense facts I had totally forgotten about. Thanks go to Zafar for pointing them out. Whoever might think my English is good for a non-native should be informed that I've been well and much helped by people who know better. ;)

30. 6. 2000 - Canticle Archives By Subject

Anguish: Sorted the archive index by category and article - makes it kind of more useful than the sort-by-issue, but when I created the file I ran out of time after all the link-checking. ;) Turvaverkko: Linkkilista päivittyy ilman eri huomiota, mutta päivittyipä ainakin sitten viimeisimmän maininnan.

15. 6. 2000 - Linkfixes

Anguish: Fixed some bad links and buried one dead one.
(siruohom (a) earthling.net)

11. 6. 2000 - Canticle Archives Expand

Anguish: Well, the project isn't actually finished, but it took a big leap forward: I went through all the Canticle issues I have in my archives and listed all the articles, as well as linked them with "a name=" tags (which enables you to search into that position on the page). The article index, which includes the link names (hopefully rather descriptive, I tried not to make them /horribly/ long) and some very short commentary, can be found here. The Canticle Archives work relatively logically; each issue has a filename of volx-y.html, where x-y is the number of the issue (1.1-1.5, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0), only that the period is replaced with a -. Am I making myself clear here? Anyway, I /will/ make it easier to browse by article, it's just relatively likely I want to write code instead of HTML, and I'd like to have my home-nerd around for that, so it might take a while as he'll be about 1000 km away until the end half of July.
TurvaVerkko: Pääsivulla on nyt se linkki. Tein hyvin pientä kosmeettista muuntelua itse pääkehyssivuun.

10. 6. 2000 - Linkfix more; TurvaVerkko relaunched

Homepage: Fixed some links in juniper.html ("'Me' in short"). Also changed a 'blooming schizophrenia' into a 'blooming multiple personality disorder', because multiple personalities work much better with larping than schizophrenia, and because I don't want to have a part in making people confuse MPD with schizophrenia. (Am I not very responsible?) It was in the statement why I role play mainly to hide x (and the extra pair of limbs), for those of you who don't want to look it up but get annoyed if you don't find out what I'm talking about. Added TurvaVerkko as a partially mirrored, partially webmastered site in Finnish for people suffering from eating disorders. Once I get the link page working, I'll probably have it at least partially in English as well. Oh, I should check if the guestbook is working properly (= has new entries. Guestbooks are supposed to create new entries.) and if so, remove the backup links.
TurvaVerkko: Launched.

21. 4. 2000 - Linkfix, 'coming up: guestbook'

Anguish: Fixed links. I fixed them 1.5. already, but may have uploaded the old anguish.html. Pfft.
Coming-up-feature (won't make a habit of this, promise):
Both: Wrote a guestbook of my/our (Eivind did most of the coding work) own in Python, copied at least most of the old entries of my Dreambook (http://www.dreambook.com) into a plain html file, was noticed by Eivind that he's not happy with the guestbook yet, we'll fix it today and install it tomorrow, and after some pondering decided to leave the dead links to the index pages anyway (since the net connection is outside of this apartment, fixing and installing aren't even half-simultaneous).

27. 3. 2000 - Rouge Hearts

Anguish: Ranted on criminals and adviced on weddings. Fixed the peculiar colours at the end of Fir's story.

27. 1. 2000 - KPPP.

General: Added the working version of the KPPP program's accounting ruleset that doesn't make a difference between evening and day. I use it, so it works, splendidly even as long as you don't call during daytime. I also resurrected the picture link on this page a while ago, the actual jpeg had ended up in a wrong directory.. *cough*

4. 12. 1999 - Canticle and Delinking

Anguish: Added the latest Canticle. Feels like a new inspiration's coming up, I might like something new around here again. On the other hand, things like the BBB surely could use some more working on. I need to find myself another bribeable orc, I think. Volunteer to Fir. ;)
Mundane: Altair's homepages moved, and I fail to remember the new address, so I just removed the references until I dig them up again and all that. Haven't been doing much around here lately, just moved the html files from my Windows side to the Linux side to make editing them more convenient.

6. 10. 1999 - More Canticle

Anguish: The Archived papers got carefully checked through for minor mishaps such as bits of text inconveniently interpreted as HTML tags, and two more issues were added. After this, there seem to be no more available papers in the Offices for me, so I must find someone who has had the good mind to store them. Fir's Character story was updated - I noticed I had at last update uploaded an unfinished started sketch version instead of anything finished.. I'm wondering if I should collect a pile of URLs lying around into a link page.

24. 9. 1999 - Canticle Archive

Anguish: Canticle, the honourable, educating and most of all entertaining paper of the more civilized part of Ancient Anguish (the more crude Dalairi paper still rules the region of Dalair), needs more audience, in my opinion. Therefore I have made a deal with Thaddeus to go dig through the storage room he keeps the old papers in (hopefully, no one has "borrowed" any issues), and make copies for myself to put in my little library for everyone to enjoy. Thanks to Eivind for introducing me to the confusing mechanics of the printing machine. Where does he learn all this stuff?

14. 8. 1999 - Light Effects

General: Well, since you insist. Picture. Hidden in here for those of you who are faithful enough to look at this page. *g* And I hand out the URL to people who ask for it and who I consider to have some actual use for it. For some reason I don't get thrilled when some random chatter in ICQ suddenly is majorly interested in knowing what I look like.

18. 7. 1999 - Arakara

Anguish: The study on religions was updated: Arakara, a dwarven god, now added on the list. (After a long interview in an orcish hovel in Dalair, sitting in the same room with a catfish gone bad and every now and then pushing back the attacks of some random aggressive passers-by (or maybe the owner of the thing that I refuse to call a house). I surely go through trouble to fish, I mean, sniff out, no, fight my way into getting you stories, don't I?)

15. 7. 1999 - To appear at least a bit alive

I've been a bad person and done nothing to update anything but my soft and harder wares, lately. I'd like an inspiration, for change. And I've even managed to be a lousy upkeeper. *grunt*

Regular: I tidied up, mostly, but the Thinking section was actually even expanded slightly, and Juniper was updated a bit.
Anguish: The study on the Orcish Book, BBB, works better now. My HTML still doesn't, I guess. I suppose I should start using something to write the code for me, but preferrably not make it as messy as mine is. Or maybe snatch myself a coder?) Fir's story updated to match the current reality.

1. 4. 1999 - Ancient Ring of Anguish

Anguish: This site has become a part of the Ancient Ring of Anguish (link changed, I'll need to ask the upkeepers on that).

19.3. 1999 - BBB updated

Anguish: The study was updated, most of the translating is still guessing, based on field work such as interviews.

22.2. 1999 - Bloody Book of Behaviour

Anguish: A study on orcish etiquette published (although not finished yet)!

23.1. 1999 - Updated Fir's story

Anguish: The title says it all, Fir's story has been updated.

24.10. 1998 - Sekalaisia - A short story, self control - Shield designs, religion

Tarinapuoli: Sekalaisia saavutuksia, alkaen selityksellä miksi "minä olen parempi kuin te"...
Homepage: Generic and general tidying up, not too much, though, don't want people to get their hopes up. Oh, and I guess I finally managed to put the link to the Annual Rings. And there's a few paragraphs on the thinking page about self control.
Anguish: A re-revealing of the shield designs on the Eldar page. I removed them when I didn't find the artist to ask for permission. Now I got sick of waiting. I also added a link to Prince Zan's thief page on the link list (finger zan for the new address). There are also the first results from my survey on different religions on AA.

6.10. 1998 - Tarinapäivä! - What's new?

Tarinapuoli: Xldraama on täällä - maailmankuvasi ei enää koskaan toivu tästä...
Homepage: So Much In Love. (And another story in Finnish.) Coming up "very" soon: The translation of "Vuosirenkaita" - it's just missing the most important: the word for the annual circles of trees - I don't know the translation for certain. *g*
Both: This. I finally decided it was about time I actually told you what I had done so that you don't have to go through every link and check. Oh, and the minor cosmetic/grammatical changes I always do when I start to work on the pages.
