Timo's MT-Daapd Patches
MT-Daapd
is a
Apple
iTunes
compatible network audio server for
Unix-like systems.
This page is just for my patches and utilities. Mainly related to server side
format conversion. Most recent ones are always at the top.
Utilities
- mt-daapd-ssc.pl (20050408)
- Small tweaking in wav stream copying. It should be maybe a little
faster now.
- Minor bugs were fixed
when trying to tackle Roku's "unwanted-skip-to-next-track"-behavior, but
unfortunately the issue itself is in Roku rather than mt-daapd.
- mt-daapd-ssc.pl (20050306)
- Finally! Apple Lossless (ALAC) support via David Hammerton's alac program.
- Other AAC files decoded with ffmpeg.
- mt-daapd-ssc.pl (20050305) (Obsolete version)
- Shorten (.shn) support via current cvs-version of ffmpeg.
- mt-daapd-ssc.pl (20050225) (Obsolete version)
- Conversion script to be used in MT-Daapd server side
format conversion.
- There is a version of this in MT-Daapd distribution,
but this is likely to be more up-to-date.
- Uses programs like flac, ffmpeg, and sometimes
mplayer.
- wavstreamer.c (20050225)
- Small streaming utility that reads wav file, patches the length
info into header and seeks to the desired offset. Streams
the file to the standard output.
- Handy help program for SSC conversion scripts.
- mk-metadata.pl (20050305)
- mk-metadata.pl (20050225) (Obsolete version)
- Perl script that tries to generate metadata tag info
from file and directory names. It prints a set of commands
that user can run in order to set the tags.
- CAUTION: Generated commands remove all existing tags
and may totally screw up your files. So here is how this
shuld be used. Run the command and save output to a file.
Check and fix commands with editor. Run commands only
after you are sure they are the way you like.
- I've found this useful with files that come without proper
metadata. Maybe you do too. Maybe not.
